The critiques were recorded during Critique Arena, our monthly event for subscribers where we announce the contest winners and critique their work. Even if you didn’t enter the contest, you can still learn a lot from hearing how pro illustrators would approach an illustration!
The prompt for January was: “The tracks in the snow were unlike anything Will had ever seen before.” It’s probably been one of our most challenging ones so far, partly for how specific the subject is and partly for how hard it is to draw snow.
This time, we started with the top 16 competitors, and the audience did successive rounds of voting until we ended up with the top 2. Check it out!
