We gotta say, the Top 16 from our August art contest really made the grade!💯
The prompt for August was to draw Albert, the character from our June contest, on his first day of school. Albert was a wild animal that is now living with a family, so how does he feel about going to school? Is he excited? Nervous? Eager? Fearful? Has he ever even been to school?
Our contestants really captured those first day of school vibes! Check out all the entries!
The winners were picked during Critique Arena, our monthly live event for members. Our judges seeded the top 16 against each other, and the audience voted for their favorites. Sixteen battled it out in the arena, but only 2 made the final cut!
You can experience all the drama in the recording of the event, but in the meantime here are the two winning entries:
If you can believe it, this is the FOURTH win for Marek! He’s definitely one to watch 🙌And this is a first time win for Beverly, glad to see some new faces in the mix!
And here are the rest of the entries that made the Sweet 16 (so proud of the work they are doing!):
As always, a big thank you to all the folks who submitted! Y’all are amazing!
Be sure to enter our September art contest for a chance to win a live art critique and all the glory 💪
Since Inktober is just around the corner, the prompt for September is to design a character for Inktober!🖤The idea is to design a main character that would star in your daily Inktober drawings.
Entries are due September 30. Be sure to submit on the Forum and the Critique Arena website!
See you next time in the arena…the Critique Arena!
