Every month, we do a live event we call Critique Arena, where we announce the winners of our monthly art contest, and critique selected entries. We started doing this because we think it can really help our members level up! Even if your illustration is not picked for a critique, you can still learn a lot from hearing “alternative takes” on how to approach an illustration.
During our last Critique Arena held on Nov 14, we judged all the entries for our October art contest. The prompt was: “The experiment worked! Penny was so relieved to have her dog back from the dead.” This time the audience got to vote!
We started with the top 16 competitors, and did successive rounds of judging where the audience voted to get to the final four. Then our judges, Jake Parker and Lee White, picked the top 2 victors🏆
