If this is your year to do Inktober, now is a good time to start thinking about what you are going to draw. That way when Inktober kicks off on Oct. 1, you can hit the ground running.
What is Inktober? It’s a monthlong art challenge started by Jake Parker, one of the founders of SVSLearn. Every year, artists around the world take the challenge and do a different ink drawing every single day of October. That's 31 drawings in 31 days! The goal is to improve your drawing skills and develop positive drawing habits.
Anyone can take part in the challenge. All you have to do is:
make a drawing in ink
post it online
hashtag it #inktober and #inktober2023
repeat 30 times
But, sometimes the hardest part is just coming up with 31 different ideas of what to draw.
That’s where the official prompt list comes in. It’s simply a list of different words for each day of the month, that you can use as inspiration for what to draw that day. Do you have to use it? No, it’s totally up to you! It’s just a resource if you need a little inspo.
